BIO:

As a child, lacrosse was not a sport that Summer had access to due to regional and financial constrictions. Due to this experience, she believes in providing as many opportunities for success in the sport of lacrosse as possible, especially to young women. She is currently the Executive Director of the Detroit United Lacrosse Association, a non-profit organization for youth in the city of Detroit that promotes academic & character education through the sport of lacrosse, providing personal development and pathways to prosperity. She currently resides in Royal Oak, MI with her fiancé Christina (University of Michigan Club Lacrosse ‘18) and her 3 cats Patches, Marlowe, and Basil. 


Summer is the former Head Coach of Oakland University (2022-2023) and has coached at multiple high schools across Southeastern Michigan since 2019. She is also a varsity field hockey coach at the high school level.
